TestimonialsDetermined to increase my core strength, stamina and balance , wanting to develop and tone my muscles and needing targeted exercise for a sore shoulder and hip, I found JACQUELYN WREN. After an initial assessment she developed a training plan for my special needs, updated it as necessary and kept notes as I progressed. JACQUELYN is meticulous, thorough and fun to work out with. She is also a tough task master. Now several months later , I am a new person and exercise has become a daily event to look forward to. Thank you JACQUELYN - LYNDA S My doctor suggested I hire a personal trainer to help with some of my health issues. Never having taken formal exercise classes, I wasn't sure where to go. I couldn't have found a better person than Jacquelyn. In 3 short months I have increased my stamina; I have muscle tone; and my energy levels are the highest they have been since the onset of my illness. Jacquelyn is caring, professional, knows her "stuff" and never pushes you beyond your limit. There's a bonus, too - Jacquelyn makes it so much fun. Her credentials and proximity to my home are what prompted me to contact her and I have no regrets. It is time very well spent! C.Dick - Sidney, BC
I, Noel Richardson, age 69, have been taking twice weekly, exercise sessions, with Jacquelyn Wren, since January 2007. Since I turned 65 I have been struck with diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and pulmonary hypertension. As a consequence I did little exercise and was feeling weak as my muscles were wasting away. The regular exercise has increased my muscle strength a great deal. I am now feeling stronger and can do house hold tasks which I had stopped doing. My body feels much better. There are less aches and pains. I am more mobile and can walk longer. Jacquelyn researched my ailments and is very careful when planning my exercises and as a result I do not feel pain. Working with her has been very beneficial for me and I recommend Jacquelyn highly as a personal trainer. -Noel Richardson I highly recommend Jacquelyn Wren as a personal trainer. She has listened very carefully to my concerns and customized an exercise regime that is tailored to my capabilities. Over the course of several months, as I have progressed and grown stronger, she has adapted the exercises to make them more challenging, but still within my range of ability. I feel very comfortable working with Jacquelyn in the privacy of her beautiful new, well-equipped studio. Jacquelyn is very supportive of my fitness goals. Her encouragement and enthusiasm help make exercising enjoyable. I look forward to continuing my training with her, as I am very pleased with the results I have seen already. - M. Walton At this point in time, Jacquelyn Wren has been my fitness trainer and mentor for well over two years. In addition to working with me on my fitness, she has helped me to focus on healthy lifestyle changes designed to improve both my physical health and my mental outlook. She is very professional in her approach towards my training and designs fitness sessions which are tailored towards my specific physical issues. In addition, she is genuinely interested in my progress and has been very supportive to me in my attempts to lead an improved and healthier lifestyle. I appreciate the effort that Jacquelyn puts into her work and I know I have benefited in countless ways from it. - G. Macdonald Jacquelyn is fun and motivational to work with. She guides me gently, increasing my exercise challenges as I achieve each level. I feel good, my posture is better, my balance is better, and I feel trimmer. She gives me that little push when I need it. I like her program and it is innovative. I never understood what ‘core’ strength was about and why I needed to improve it until now. - Dr. FDC This is a letter of reference for the work of Jacquelyn Wren as a personal trainer. I chose a personal trainer for the individual program that would keep me on track afterwards, especially as I approach 60. I have worked in her studio for the past three months on an individually designed program with the focus to promote my endurance and strength. The progression of the program is just right with easier repetitions that increase subtly over time. One point to make is that the program is designed in increments to learn positions. The beginning part of each repetition is learnt before the total repetition is introduced. Jacquelyn has been very accommodating for a very busy elementary school administrator whose schedule can change daily. She has also encouraged some simple “homework" of positions that are very workable. The important part of this program is that it is very usable and will be continued at home later on. I recommend this approach for busy people whose schedules don't fit regular routines and who want to maintain their flexibility and strength for daily tasks and work commitments. In summary I appreciate the individual program with just right increments of difficulty.
